Zeltinger Himmelreich is the largest single
vineyard in the town of
The medium-deep weathered clay slate soil provides excellent conditions for classy, fruity and spicy wines with a distinctive bouquet. The elevation of this vineyard reaches up to 220 meters above sea level.
The appellation "Himmelreich" (heavenly domain) applies to this elevated vineyard location, although there are numerous other explanations found in folk etymology, such as the idea that the word might trace back to a term for "small hill".
