The first
aroma immediately reveals the high quality of wine in the glass. Very ripe
yellow fruits - typical for a Riesling-Spätlese - emerge as the primary aromas.
A waft of almondy marzipan foreshadows the full body of the wine. In taste the "alte Badstube am Doctorberg" is marked by a fine acidity and a long finish. On
the whole, this is an elegant Riesling wine, which is discreet and low key, not
requiring any showy effects. The "alte Badstube" is a perfect Riesling
for every type of filigree fish-dish and it well complements fresh sea-food.
