The acronym COS (Color, Odor, Sapor) stands for "color, odor, flavor". It is written on the sandstone placed over the portal of the Barock House at Gestade 16 in Bernkastel, which is the neighbor to the Dr. Pauly-Bergweiler wine cellars. COS alerts wine connoisseurs immediately to the fact that the Barock House has a very close connection to wine.
Ever since the middle ages, COS has been a synonym for good wine, declaring wine to be good by its color, smell and taste. Accordingly, from time to time such wine was simply called Vinum Cos.
The Barock House is a jewel of a facility which can be rented for a winetasting, with and without dinner, or for a gourmet wine dinner - and it can also be rented for family celebrations, company anniversaries, receptions, concerts and seminars. The Barock House offers much more than just the room required. It provides a unique and noble facility.
It is a facility with Color, Odor and Sapor%u2026.
